Welcome to Science 10

Welcome to Science 10 at QCS!

This year, I will be using a blog to communicate with you about the course.  On this website I will post links and information that will assist you in the completion of this course.  Additionally, you are encouraged to post to this blog via the comment feature available to each blog posting.  You can provide the class with links related to the class or you can ask a question of myself and/or the class.  These questions could be about assignments or concepts.

When posting please be respectful of the following:
  1. Your peers and your teacher
  2. Your school
  3. The ideas and beliefs of others
  4. The country within which we live
As such, I ask that you only post material related to the content of this course.  I also ask that you use formal and appropriate language.  Any instant messaging slang will be deleted from the blog.

Please indicate that you have read this by supplying your name (first name only please) and include something that you hope to get out of this course.

I look forward to working with you!  Ms. Camille

I hope to gain a greater knowledge of the world that we live in. I would also like to gain a greater understanding of chemistry, because if you understand chemistry you understand everything that surrounds you since everything is influenced by it.

  6. Chalk....

Yes, it is a common material that you would know as limestone, or calcite, or calcium carbonate (CaCOO3). The white cliffs of Dover are made of the stuff!
